Project / Commercial Accountant


This is a newly created position reporting to the Group Commercial Business Partner, with a dotted line to the Group CFO. It is an exciting role with extensive career progression for the successful candidate. The Commercial/Project accountant will partner with multiple stakeholders across the business providing accurate financial insight and analysis to aid decision making.


To be considered for this role, you will need a professional accounting qualification and have 1 to 2 years Post-Qual experience ideally in a Commercial Organisation. Experience in project management would be highly advantageous.


Key responsibilities: 


Pre-& Post Acquisition

 

·      Assist Commercial Business Partner with Pre-Acquisition due diligence activities as part of acquisition strategy.

·      Key team member supporting post-acquisition integration team working with relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth integration.

·      Drive a culture of data-based decision making and long-term financial forecasting and planning for all strategic decisions.


Commercial/Project Finance


·      Partnering with R&D: working on cost and efficiency initiatives 

·      Weekly/Monthly Senior Management KPI Reporting (Sales Performance/Forecasting/Project Analysis)

·      Perform financial analysis required on an ad-hoc basis to support commercial initiatives & other projects.

·      Supporting the Commercial Business Partner in ensuring adherence to the group Sales Process.

·      Provide support and technical expertise to colleagues across the business. 


Education


·      Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Accounting

·      Professional Accountancy Qualification

Relevant Experience


·      At least 3 years Accounting experience

·      At least 1-year experience in Commercial/Management Accounting.

·      Experience in stakeholder management

·      Experience with ERP/CRM systems and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
